On November, 5 there was the First Ukrainian Usability Conference "
Usability Ukraine" in the Conference Hall of President Hotel, Kyiv, which gathered 32 usability pros, who presented their
reports for 425 minutes, showing 354 presentation slides. It was a nice chance for me to learn from their experience, meet usability pros from all over Ukraine.
Usability Ukraine gathered around 250 people to discuss central usability challenges and principles.
The event featured the "Project Wall", where anyone could submit their own site/app and get an instant usability analysis from the usability specialists.
From the whole event I would remark live usability testing of a news portal (which actually turned out to be live usability testing of a Mac Air laptop=), a report on usability tricks for ecommerce sites, insight into split-testing, a report on gaining user trust, to name a few. All in all, it was a great experience. Hopefully, this conference will turn into a traditional yearly event.
