Horse Racing Nation

Horse Racing Nation is a nice example of sport site design, which corresponds to main tendencies pointed out in Smashing magazine sport site showcase. Please have a look at the final variant of the design approved:

It has a typical news site layout, it's colorful. The home page includes links to recent stories, latest race results and the site has clear navigation for the user to easily find the necessary information.

We have tried different approaches to the design. At first stage of the project we offered a couple of different design drafts. The first one was creative:

We regard this draft as successful, bright and creative, but our customer decided to shoot with a more conservative style. So we continued with the following variation:

Pragmasoft was also responsible for logo design:



After we had all design issues covered, Pragmasoft worked on XHTML/CSS slicing of the pages. All in all,Horse Racing Nation project is a nice showcase of Pragmasoft skills: nice logo, great design and high-quality valid XHTML/CSS coding.
